Mentoring - participants

Mentoring - participants

28 clients attended our first mentoring session. Each of the clients has successfully started a new business or expanded an existing business using a loan from Besu Eji.

Mentoring - client sharing

Mentoring - client sharing

During the mentoring session, clients were given the chance to share their struggles and successes, and to make suggestions to Besu Eji and other participants. A lot of very good feedback was provided.

Zelalem (local project manager) and Eskinder (project board vice president) addressed the clients, and provided and encouraging and motivational message. Eskinder came from Addis Ababa and kindly donated his time to assist the Besu Eji project during this week. We hope that project board president Mekonnen will visit in the near future.

Exhibition - busy time

During peak times at the exhibition, lots of visitors - from government offices, other NGOs and also members of the public - came to the Besu Eji tent to see our display and hear what the project has been doing.

At other times, we were able to enjoy each other's company while waiting for visitors tro arrive.

Office

One of the loans issued by Besu Eji was to the landlord of our office - to refurbish and paint the building. (The theory behind this is that he will earn extra rental income in the future from an improved office, plus it benefits us in the short term).

Besu Eji's first office is a small office in Assosa. Besu Eji is called a 'Charity Organization' because it comes under the authority of the Charity and Societies Agency.
